1st Chronicles 29 and Proverbs 31
Jesus Christ, the bridegroom, is coming for his corporate bride whom He can fully delight in and who fully delights in him. God is calling us to prepare to be His bride without spot or wrinkle or any such thing.
1. The bride cannot be drunken with the loves of the world. 4-5
Prov 31:4-5 (KJV)
4[It is] not for kings, O Lemuel, [it is] not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:5Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.
2. The bride reproves the unfruitful works of darkness fights for those that are helpless needy. 8-9
Prov 31:8-9 (KJV)
8Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.9Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
3. The bridegroom can fully trust in the bride did do him only good that it ever enlarges.11-12
